Lubuntu is a fast and lightweight operating system with a clean and easy-to-use user interface. It is a Linux system, that uses the minimal desktop LXDE/LXQT, and a selection of light applications. Because of this, Lubuntu has very low hardware requirements. Lubuntu was founded by Mario Behling and has been grown for many years by Julien Lavergne. What is Lubuntu?
Lubuntu is a lightweight Linux flavor using Debian, Ubuntu and LXQT as its base. The project’s goal is to provide a lightweight and easy to use distribution. Lubuntu is targeted at machines with lower resources, but also runs great on newer hardware. The Linux distribution comes with a simple graphical user interface and a wide variety of applications chosen for their small footprint so you can browse, email, chat, play, and be productive.
